The business works across major infrastructure and construction projects, with a growing portfolio within the UK water sector.

This is an opportunity for a Senior Planner who wants to do more than simply maintain programmes. You’ll work closely with clients and experienced professionals across planning, project controls, contracts, claims and commercial environments.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for providing high-quality planning support across major projects, taking ownership of programmes and helping clients understand project performance.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Developing and managing complex project programmes
  • Programme analysis and reporting
  • Identifying risks, delays and opportunities
  • Working closely with project teams and stakeholders
  • Change management
  • Schedule analysis
  • Supporting delay and claims analysis
  • Working within NEC contract environments
  • Providing planning and project controls support
  • Communicating programme issues and recommendations to clients
About You

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in planning/project controls who is confident working independently and dealing directly with clients.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Significant experience as a Planner / Senior Planner
  • Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering or utilities
  • Experience managing complex programmes
  • Experience with programme analysis and reporting
  • A commercially aware approach
  • Good understanding of NEC contracts
  • Experience around change, delay or claims
  • The confidence to challenge, communicate and take ownership

Experience within the water sector or major infrastructure would be useful.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This isn’t simply a role focused on maintaining programmes.

The consultancy is looking for someone who can understand the wider project, identify issues, communicate with stakeholders and add value to clients.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals with backgrounds in planning, project controls, contracts and claims, giving you the opportunity to broaden your technical and commercial experience.

The business is continuing to grow, with further work secured across the UK water sector, providing genuine long-term opportunities for the right person.
