Job description

We have an opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our Fit Out & Interiors team, Smartspace, based out of our offices near Euston. They will provide an effective and professional planning and programming service for pre-contract and project teams.

Wates Smartspace is a national business delivering high-quality fit-out, refurbishment, and property upkeep projects, enhancing its customers’ physical assets and operating environments. Working with a wide variety of long-standing customers, we have established a strong reputation for delivering projects to tight timescales and in live environments, often working around business-critical equipment.

Key Accountabilities include:

• Instigate and monitor a balanced suite of performance measurement criteria throughout a project’s lifecycle.
• Ensure proper integration of design and procurement elements of programmes with operations.
• Produce integrated tender programme and method statement and present proposals at settlement meetings.
• Manage changes: review programme effects of changes and advise on EOT issues.
• Produce schedules, obtain, and analyze quotes for all time-related preliminaries.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will already have experience working as a Planner within a similar business and possess knowledge of commonly used forms of construction contracts, as well as an awareness of various performance measurement techniques such as Critical Path Analysis, Earned Value Analysis, and Key Performance Indicators. Familiarity with Asta Powerproject is advantageous.

We are looking for an excellent communicator at all levels with an eye for detail and accuracy. You should be organized and capable of self-managing your workload, time, and priorities to meet objectives.

Membership of CIOB would be desirable. The vacancy is based in London/Southeast.
