Our client, a leading contractor specialising in healthcare, provides new build and refurbishment projects across the UK, including medical spaces and mobile theatres to live clinical environments.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced freelance Senior Planner to lead the remaining detailed planning and scheduling of a £30m healthcare extension in South West London.
What We're Looking For
Experience:
- Proven experience working on projects within healthcare and/or modular sectors is advantageous but not essential.
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with leading construction contractors.
Key Skills:
- Strong IT skills
- Knowledge of Asta Planning Software
- Capability to conduct successful negotiations
- Clear communication abilities with a keen eye for detail
- Capacity to adapt to changes and amend project plans as required
- Solid understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to facilitate effective collaboration with stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality audits and assessments
- Maintain and oversee relationships with stakeholders
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes
- Implement strategies to ensure steady project progression
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive project documentation
- Execute risk management strategies to address obstacles
- Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with deliverables
- Establish and maintain positive client relationships through regular communication
- Ensure project compliance with laws, regulations, and standards
- Monitor and oversee the project schedule to meet deadlines
- Create and deliver routine progress reports
- Handle and resolve project issues promptly
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Utilise project management tools to enhance planning and coordination
- Develop thorough project schedules considering milestones and dependencies
