Senior Planner – Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Planner to join our prestigious Tier 1 client working on technically complex projects across multiple sectors in the North East.

As a Project Planner, you will provide effective and professional planning and programming services for pre-contract and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of weekly progress updates, collation of as-built data, trend analysis, performance metrics, and provide relevant reports through site walk-arounds and weekly meetings with the site team and supply chain.
• Produce mid/short term programmes with the site team, aiming to avoid surprises, ensuring they are fully resourced and in conjunction with advice from the site team and key supply chain partners.
• Demonstrate a full understanding of the project and client needs, and propose and assess viable alternatives to improve and benefit the project's successful completion.
• Must be able to use P6 planning software; knowledge of NEC contracts is an advantage but not essential.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Project Planner within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site logistics.
• Proficiency in planning software – Primavera P6 or Asta.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
