Job summary

Main Contractor - Building in Gloucestershire is seeking a Senior Planner to join the project team on a major construction scheme. You will develop and manage complex programmes, support pre-construction and delivery strategies, and provide planning expertise to drive the project forward.

The role demands a strong main contracting background and proficiency with Asta PowerProject and Primavera P6, plus NEC contract knowledge.

Qualifications

• Main contracting background within building/construction.
• Practical construction management or engineering background preferred.
• Proficient in Asta PowerProject and/or Primavera P6.
• Exposure to a variety of commercial construction projects (defence, education, health, etc.).
• NEC contract knowledge/experience.
• Excellent communication skills, works well under pressure, team player, autonomous when required.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Qualified to a high standard in a relevant subject.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project programmes for a major construction project.
• Support preconstruction and delivery strategies with the planning team.

Salary: Up to £95,000 (DOE) plus benefits

The Opportunity..

A leading main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior / Lead Planner work on a major project in Gloucestershire. Working closely with the Head of Planning and wider project team, you will play an important role in developing and managing project programmes, supporting preconstruction and delivery strategies and providing planning expertise for this specific project.

The Key Requirements:

• Main contracting background within building/construction.
• A practical construction management or engineering background is preferred but not essential.
• Proficient in the use of Asta PowerProject and/or Primavera P6.
