Job summary

Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • We’re looking for an experienced Senior Planning Officer to manage a caseload of planning applications and lead on complex enforcement matters. This full-time, temporary role includes site visits and attendance at Planning Committee.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Handle planning applications, pre-app enquiries, and discharge of conditions.
    • Lead investigations into planning breaches, including legal proceedings.
    • Supervise and mentor junior enforcement officers.
    • Engage with the public and stakeholders to resolve planning issues.
    • Ensure legal compliance and contribute to enforcement policy development.
    • Prepare reports and present evidence at hearings and appeals.
