Job summary

Southern Water is seeking a Major Projects PMO Senior Planner to develop and manage detailed project schedules, provide accurate data, early warnings and scenario modelling to keep programmes on track.

The role is based at Falmer, Brighton with hybrid working (2 days in the office). You will work with the Major Projects team to influence delivery on critical infrastructure projects and ensure governance and baselines are maintained.

Qualifications

• Expert user of Primavera P6 with advanced skills including cost and resource loading.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and key planning clauses.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage fully logic-linked project schedules in Primavera P6 for major infrastructure projects.
• Communicate critical path updates, float trends, and early warnings on schedule slippage.
• Produce progress updates, lookahead schedules, S-Curves, and Schedule Performance Index (SPI) metrics at project and work pack level.
• Conduct scenario planning and “what-if” analysis to support risk mitigation strategies.
• Review and integrate schedules from external partners, ensuring quality and compliance with governance standards.
• Maintain rigorous control over schedule baselines and revisions in line with PMO governance processes.
