Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer with experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry based in Aberdeen. This is a great opportunity to work on key clients' projects.

Wood is also recruiting for a Principal Piping Engineer with similar industry experience in Aberdeen.

Contributing to the delivery of Engineering excellence through:

1. Executing assigned scopes of work
2. Supporting and supervising task delegation to team
3. Providing discipline expertise to the business
4. Coaching and mentoring as delegated
5. Managing and supervising direct reports

Process Ownership:

1. Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline-specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement
2. Participate in audits and incident investigations as required
3. Maintain technical competence in own discipline and pursue continuous professional development
4. Provide discipline support to the business

Responsibilities

• Provide piping engineering expertise
• Input to piping and layout studies
• Define piping design requirements for technical scopes
• Develop deliverables and documentation for offshore workpacks and supply chain
• Support procurement of piping-related materials and equipment
• Check piping deliverables for design accuracy
• Support the Lead Piping Engineer and project delivery team
• Provide piping design technical expertise
• Resolve piping design issues by applying standards and codes
• Ensure technical integrity of piping designs
• Participate in design reviews and interdisciplinary checks
• Maintain knowledge to meet senior piping designer competence
• Provide feedback for lessons learned
• Utilize software tools like PDMS, Navisworks, E3D in design development and checking

Qualifications
