Job description

Our client BAE Systems, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Senior Engineer focusing on Auxiliary Systems to join their team. This role will be part of the Business Unit - Naval Ships and is based in Scotstoun with hybrid working arrangements available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working within the Platform Delivery Team to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Developing fluid system designs and translating these into schematics
  • Performing design calculations and creating detailed documentation
  • Conducting thorough design reviews to ensure compliance with project specifications
  • Managing equipment procurement to support the designed systems


Job Requirements:

  • Relevant experience as a piping engineer
  • Strong background in fluid system design and implementation
  • Proficiency in developing system schematics and design calculations
  • Ability to conduct detailed design reviews and technical evaluations
  • Understanding of equipment procurement processes within the defence sector
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a project team environment


Contract Details:

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Location: Scotstoun, with hybrid arrangements (1-2 days a week on site ideally)
  • Inside IR35
