Job description

OLG Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Piping Designer for our client located in Immingham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading project management and engineering design consultancy in the Humber region. The position can be offered on a Contract or Permanent basis.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be an experienced AutoCAD Plant 3D or AutoCAD 3D piping designer, confident in delivering detailed piping designs and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Routing pipework independently, ensuring alignment with:

• P&ID
• Piping specifications
• Line list considerations
• Connecting to fixed or rotating equipment (vendor data)

Working as part of a multidisciplinary design team

Using point cloud survey data for clash detection

Designing pipe supports: location, type, and specifications

Producing piping fabrication deliverables, including isometrics

Utilizing Plant 3D and AutoCAD 2D software

Creating and reviewing G/As and equipment layout drawings

Participating in model reviews and piping representation

Using Navisworks Freedom for project coordination

Ensuring compliance with project procedures

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD 3D piping design
• Experience with P&ID, piping specifications, and line list considerations
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Familiarity with point cloud data and clash detection
• Knowledge of pipe support design and fabrication deliverables
• Experience with G/As, equipment layouts, and model reviews
• Navisworks Freedom user experience is advantageous
• Compliance with procedural standards
