Senior Pipeline Engineer

Location: Hybrid - Aberdeen or London

Salary: Negotiable + Flex benefits fund (£1175 depending on experience)

Penspen www.penspen.com is looking to hire a Senior Pipeline Engineer seeking the next step to Principal level to work hybrid in and around London or Aberdeen offices.

Main Purpose of Role:

Assist with planning and coordination of the overall technical design and engineering implementation of project work. Responsible for complex assignments requiring comprehensive knowledge and skills. Able to plan, organize, and carry out engineering efforts in the assigned area, including determining new techniques to be used. Independently conduct advanced engineering studies.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

• Broad technical background in pipeline design, including onshore and offshore pipelines/platforms, crude oil tank farms, process plants, refineries, FPSO, etc. Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Recent experience with designing or repurposing pipelines for Hydrogen and CO2 use.
• Experience across project life cycle stages: Feasibility, Concept, FEED, and DDE.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant international standards and codes of practice.
• Experience in the EPC sector of the oil and gas industry, including construction/site experience.
• Ability to deliver efficient analytical solutions for engineering design tasks.
• Proficiency in pipeline design software, MS Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Windows, and Internet.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, independently, and under pressure, meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload.
• Effective communication skills with senior management and clients.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide technical guidance to engineers.
• Discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Minimum of 10 years of Oil & Gas design experience.

Qualifications:

• An engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• M.Sc. in pipeline engineering is advantageous.
• Chartered membership of an appropriate institution is desirable.
