We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapy Assistant to work within our Respiratory Physiotherapy Teams. You will support physiotherapy staff across inpatient wards, assisting patients recovering from acute illness. The role involves managing a delegated caseload, supporting rehabilitation through exercise therapy, gait and balance rehab, and provision of aids. You will encourage patients to regain independence and participate fully in daily activities. Previous experience in a Therapy Service is essential.
As a post holder, you will work with Physiotherapists and Support Workers, undertaking clinical and administrative tasks to support physiotherapy services. Given the inpatient setting, experience working in a care environment is desirable, as you will deal with patients post-surgery or recovering from acute illness, including those with drips, drains, and wounds.
Previous experience as a therapy assistant is essential. Excellent communication skills are vital, as you will work with a team and patients with complex communication needs.
