Job summary

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist Physiotherapist for the Spinal Injuries Therapy Service at The James Cook University Hospital. The role emphasizes respiratory leadership within the regional unit and ongoing development in rehabilitation for spinal injury patients.

The post holder will work within an integrated MDT, with opportunities for CPD through workshops, supervision of staff, audits, and research.

Qualifications

• Significant postgraduate experience including respiratory management and an interest in neurological physiotherapy.
• Experience supervising qualified physiotherapists and therapy assistants and involvement in clinical education of students.

Responsibilities

• Based at the Golden Jubilee Regional Spinal Injury Centre at The James Cook University Hospital.
• Develop specialist skills within rehabilitation management of spinal injury patients.
• Lead respiratory physiotherapist on the regional unit and collaborate with the MDT.
• Attend rehabilitation consultant clinics and may perform domiciliary visits to facilitate discharges and training.
