22.5 hours per week

Our Physiotherapy team at Exeter Hospital currently has an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist specialising in Pelvic Health. This role will cover Pelvic Health outpatient services, with potential involvement in musculoskeletal outpatient care.

Nuffield Health is Britain’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation. As part of our team, you'll have clinical support from our National Pelvic Health Lead, a large network of Pelvic Health physiotherapists, and your Regional Physiotherapy Lead, along with leadership from the onsite management team. We offer a CPD budget to support your ongoing learning and clinical excellence.

The Role

We seek an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our team. You will manage a diverse caseload, including urogynaecology, colorectal, pregnancy, postpartum, and post-operative patients, serving both insurance and self-paying clients. You will collaborate closely with hospital consultants to deliver integrated healthcare.

The hospital is well-equipped to support your development through mentorship and our training programmes. There is also scope to include musculoskeletal physiotherapy if you have maintained professional development in this area.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHPs, and consultants to optimise patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, effective clinical care.
  • Uphold Nuffield Health values: enterprising, passionate, independent, caring.
  • Provide evidence-based, safe, effective, and responsive care.
  • Monitor treatment standards and participate in clinical audits and quality assurance.
  • Contribute to the weekend rota for orthopedic post-operative inpatients.
Candidate Requirements
  • BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent; HCPC registration.
  • Completion of a Foundation-level Pelvic Health course (POGP or Pelvic Health Academy); competence in internal pelvic assessment.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Women’s Health, managing urinary dysfunction and pelvic organ prolapse.
  • Experience in Men’s Health is advantageous.
  • Continued professional development in Pelvic Health and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
  • Post-qualification orthopaedic ward experience is preferred.
  • Experience in NHS and private healthcare settings.
  • Pilates and Mummy MOT qualifications are a plus.
  • Strong communication and IT skills, with excellent organisational abilities.

We value shared commitment to holistic, patient-centred care. Join us to help create a healthier future for our patients.
