We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist who is prepared to undertake a challenge and work in a unique setting. This post is in one of the most remote and rural locations in the UK. The Physiotherapist will be required to assist in the provision of a Physiotherapy service to the population of North and South Uist, Benbecula, Eriskay, and Barra, islands situated off the North West Coast of Scotland. The post is based in the Ospadal Uibhist agus Bharraigh, on the island of Benbecula.
The key responsibilities of the role will be: the provision of physiotherapy assessment, the development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment programs, and the facilitation and support of staff development in the hospital and community areas.
If you are up for this challenge, we can offer wonderfully scenic and unspoiled beaches, no traffic jams, short waiting lists, and excellent working conditions within a Community Hospital. You will be part of a small team of Physiotherapists. You must have excellent communication skills and a proven record of extensive experience in most areas of Physiotherapy, including MSK Out-patients. It will be essential to be a car owner and have a current UK driving license.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme).
