Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Luton invites applications for a Senior Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the dynamic Therapies service. You will rotate across Complex Medicine, Stroke/Neuro, Respiratory, Orthopaedics and Surgery & Acute Medicine, delivering autonomous care to inpatients.

You will manage your own caseload with support from a Band 7 lead, contribute to audits and research, and participate in service development to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

• To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
• To undertake generic work in rotations within the field of physiotherapy to a competent standard, supported by clinical supervision from physiotherapy and non-physiotherapy senior staff.
• To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for patients, working without direct supervision. Access to advice and support from a more senior physiotherapist is available if required.
• Supported by the Band 7 physiotherapy lead, to design and undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and team's clinical practice and improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard assessments, advice, treatment and evaluation of patients referred to the acute inpatient physiotherapy service.
• Undertake autonomous clinical duties with regular supervision from Band 7.
• Collaborate across Complex Medicine, Stroke/Neuro, Respiratory, Orthopaedics and Surgery & Acute medicine teams.
• Design and conduct audits and research to improve service delivery.
