Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Physiotherapist to work within an integrated multi-professional team. You will manage your own caseload, assess patients with complex conditions and deliver tailored rehabilitation.

The role involves supervising Therapy Assistants, supporting staff training, and delivering care in diverse community settings, including home visits. Driving and travel around the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area are essential.

Qualifications

  • Clinical experience in a variety of settings.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Desirable: CSP membership.

Responsibilities

  • Work as an autonomous practitioner within the integrated multi-professional team.
  • Manage own caseload and assess patients with complex pathologies using specialist clinical reasoning skills.
  • Identify patient needs, goals, provide therapy interventions, adaptive equipment, rehabilitation programmes, and make recommendations for minor adaptations.
  • Keep the patient at the centre of care and involve patient and carer in decision making.
  • Provide support and education to peers, new staff, non-registered staff and students.
  • Supervise junior staff and students, oversee Therapy Assistants and ensure high quality patient care.
  • Be actively involved in teaching and supporting Therapy Assistants to achieve competencies.
  • Be accountable for a delegated caseload held by Therapy Assistants.
  • Prioritise referrals according to clinical need and allocate or signpost appropriately.
  • Provide a high standard of care.
  • Work in community settings, including lone working, with access to Clinical Leads when required.

  • To work as an autonomous practitioner within the integrated multi-professional team.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent, e.g. BSc, MSc or Diploma entry level qualification into the Physiotherapy profession.
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Documented evidence of own continuing professional development
Desirable criteria
  • Member of CSP
Physical Requirements
Essential criteria
  • Ability to travel independently around Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area meeting required timescales. A Full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
