Overview

A Vacancy at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Critical Care / Surgical team. This is a newly created static post. If you are motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic we NEED YOU!

The successful candidate will work as part of a team that includes Band 7 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, Band 6 Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, and rotations for Band 5s, Band 4s and support workers. A good range of Band 5 rotations is essential. The post holder will be expected to provide regular post-graduate training within their clinical specialty and work alongside Band 7s to complete some departmental managerial duties. Development roles are available for candidates who may require additional support.

Band 6 Physiotherapists work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who contribute to how our users experience our services. Band 6 therapists are expected to be kind and responsive, professional and informative, and to contribute to the quality of services provided across the health economy by:

  • To manage daily a clinical specialist caseload within Critical Care and the Surgical Wards; responsible for assessment, formulation and treatments and to give highly specialised therapy advice to members of the MDT.
  • To deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team.
  • To be actively involved with training within the Department.

Each clinical area has friendly, supportive teams where regular meetings, CPD and supervision are available.
