Job summary

Senior Physiotherapist Newcastle | Physiotherapy | Bank Contract | Part Time | Salary up to £22 per hour

Main duties of the job

  • HCPC Registration is essential for this role.
  • As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will work independently as an autonomous, experienced practitioner to deliver high quality physiotherapy care to patients.
  • Undertake assessments in patients presenting often complex musculoskeletal conditions and conditions masquerading as musculoskeletal pathology.
  • Identify patients who require onward referral to advanced level physiotherapists/consultants or other healthcare professionals, including the use of internal escalation pathways for patients with serious pathology.
  • Undertake treatment underpinned by extensive clinical knowledge and skills to deliver high quality patient outcomes.
  • Maintain relevant clinical skills and provide on-going evidence of personal CPD and professional registration.
  • Manage a complex face-to-face and remote service caseload effectively, ensuring cases are discharged appropriately on systems.
  • Support colleagues and less experienced staff, including administration staff and physiotherapy assistant colleagues, to enhance clinical outcomes and patient experience.

  • As a bank Senior Physiotherapist at our Newcastle Hospital, you’ll have an active HCPC registration along with a CPD portfolio, reflecting a wide range of physiotherapy experience focused on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sports injuries.
  • You will have excellent manual therapy skills and be able to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
  • You’ll be computer‑literate and a confident communicator.
  • HCPC Registration is essential for this role.
  • As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will work independently to deliver high quality physiotherapy care to patients and also:
    • Undertake assessments in patients presenting often complex musculoskeletal conditions and conditions masquerading as musculoskeletal pathology.
