As a Senior Physiotherapist at our Plymouth Hospital, you’ll have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent plus Health and Care Professions Council registration. You will demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner. In addition to excellent manual therapy skills, you’re able to prioritise and manage a varied workload. You’re also good with computers and a confident communicator.

As a Senior Physiotherapist you will:

1. See a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post-operative cases, playing a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.
2. Deliver high quality, effective clinical care.
3. Adhere to our values and beliefs at Nuffield Health, in which we encourage behaviour which is enterprising, passionate, independent and caring.
4. Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence based, safe, effective, caring, well-led and responsive to our patient’s needs.
5. Ensure ongoing monitoring of the standard of treatment provided.
6. Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes.

Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital

The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth and we have been part of the Plymouth community since 1971. We have 3 main theatres – 2 laminar flow and 1 digital, a fully JAG accredited endoscopy suite, a 35-bedded ward with one 4 bedded bay and one 2 bedded bay. Our outpatients department has 12 consulting rooms with a dedicated ophthalmology suite and ENT service.

We carry out treatment under a range of specialities including Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery. We recently were rated in the top 50 hospitals in the country for our total hip replacement patient outcomes.
