Job summary

The Park Hospital in Nottingham (part of Circle Health Group) invites applications for a Senior Physiotherapist on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role is 22.5 hours per week with a flexible shift arrangement.

You will lead assessment and management of complex cases across MSK, neuro, orthopaedics or respiratory, provide supervision to Band 5/Level 1 physiotherapists, and develop pathways in line with professional standards.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with validating registration.
• Experience with complex caseload management across MSK, neuro, orthopaedics or respiratory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assessment, treatment and management of patients with complex conditions in your specialist area.
• Use advanced clinical reasoning to tailor treatment plans.
• Provide supervision and training to junior physiotherapists and assistants.
• Contribute to clinical pathways, protocols and outcome measures.
• Ensure care aligns with HCPC, CSP and CQC standards.
• Build therapeutic relationships to promote engagement and self-management.

Salary: Up to £43,680.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Senior Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a part time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Lead the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex conditions within your specialist area (e.g. MSK, neuro, orthopaedics, respiratory).
• Use advanced clinical reasoning to develop and adjust treatment plans that align with patient goals and evidence-based practice.
• Provide formal supervision, mentoring, and training to Band 5/Level 1 physiotherapists, assistants, and students.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical pathways, protocols, and outcome measures within your area.
• Ensure all care is delivered in line with regulatory, professional, and organisational standards (e.g. HCPC, CSP, CQC).
• Build strong therapeutic relationships with patients and carers to promote engagement, education, and self-management.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
• Extensive post-registration experience including complex caseload management and a defined clinical specialty.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and organisational skills.
• Evidence of audit, service development, or quality improvement contributions.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working ability.
