An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a physiotherapist into our community-based Specialist Palliative care team in the North East of the County.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A qualified Physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
  • Passion for helping patients maintain their independence and quality of life.
  • Experience in palliative or community care settings is beneficial.

Main duties of the job

This rewarding and enriching role will give you the opportunity to grow the physiotherapy service, working alongside the wider MDT. You will work autonomously to support patients to identify goals and live well with their palliative diagnosis and support their end-of-life care. Your work will be undertaken both within the patients home and our modern wellbeing hubs that provide a non-clinical backdrop to individualised care. This is an exciting role and we welcome applicants with an enthusiasm to develop the service and bring new ideas. Due to the nature of the role a flexible, adaptable approach is essential. In return you will be well respected by your colleagues, have a good work life balance and will be supported with your professional development. St Barnabas Hospice has an established AHP service who you will have regular contact and be well supported by.

Pension Options:

  • Option 1 - Continuation of NHS pension (If applicable)
  • Option 2 - Join our generous contributory Pension Scheme, 7% of your monthly salary paid, together with a 3.5% personal contribution by you. (option to increase your contributions to be double matched by the Trust, up to a limit of 9%)

Salary: £37,740 a year per annum, pro rata

Contract: Permanent
