Job summary

Government Property Agency (GPA) seeks a Physical Security Engineer to lead the design and delivery of physical and electronic security across GPA estates, including refurbishment and onboarding offices. The role and duties include advising on threats, designing security solutions, and driving assurance across projects, with national travel to UK sites as needed.

The engineer will embed security approaches, apply CPD to stay current, and work within the GPA security function to influence risk

Qualifications

Experience interpreting GPA's physical security policies and strategies.
Ability to assess threats and ensure physical and electronic security resilience.
Knowledge of security standards, guidance, and processes for office estates.
Experience delivering security requirements across project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

Interpret and implement GPA physical security policies and communicate them effectively.
Advise on threats, assess risk, and ensure appropriate security and resilience engineering standards.
Set technical and process standards for physical security of GPA estates.
Lead engineering aspects of GPA's security and resilience planning.
Define and update employers' security requirements and assurance needs.
Ensure safety and statutory compliance for GPA office buildings.
