Government Property Agency is actively seeking a Physical Security Engineer to lead security design across its live and upcoming office estates. The role requires interpreting GPA security policies, assessing threats, and ensuring compliant, resilient security solutions including CCTV, access control, and blast design.

You will embed security standards across programs, oversee external contractors, and travel nationally to UK sites.

• Ability to interpret and implement security policies
• Strong risk assessment and assurance for security standards
• Familiarity with access control solutions and resilience planning
• Ongoing professional development in security design

Aufgaben

• Interpret and implement GPA physical security policies and strategies.
• Advise on threats and assess risk and assurance for physical and electronic security.
• Set technical and process standards for GPA security across estates.
• Lead engineering aspects of GPA security and resilience planning.
• Define employers security requirements and due diligence needs.
• Ensure statutory compliance for safe office buildings.
• Promote best practice and innovation in security design.
• Deliver security across project lifecycles and RIBA stages.
• Advise on access control solutions and VfM.
• Manage external security professional services contractors.
• Lead the security function within the Design and Engineering team.
• Maintain CPD and up-to-date security knowledge.
• Coordinate with GPA framework partners for security consultancy and design services.
• Collaborate with GPA CSO and Security Team on security initiatives.
