We're looking for a dynamic Senior PHP Software Engineer

to lead our rapidly growing development team and drive productivity as we expand our operations internationally.

We are one of the fastest growing E-commerce startups in the world, reaching profitability in Q4 last year with over a million in annual turnover. We're on a mission to conquer the E-commerce market, aiming to take a sizeable market share from industry leaders. Having achieved profitability, with strong cash reserves and VC backing, we are now poised for significant growth. Our goal is to expand to over countries internationally in the next few years, with technology at the core of our strategy.

Our current development department consists of 8 agile sprint teams, each led by a PHP team lead, including 2 senior backend engineers, 1 senior frontend engineer, 1 QA, and 1 product manager. We are in the process of adding 6 more teams as part of our expansion. We need talented senior PHP Software Engineers to join us. Your role will be hands-on, ensuring high-quality coding standards while delivering key projects on time.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a senior engineer within the team, conducting code reviews of other developers' code.
• Promote good development practices within your sprint team (TDD, Unit Testing, SOLID principles).
• Ensure key projects are delivered on time.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of PHP software engineering experience, with high proficiency in writing quality PHP code.
• Experience mentoring and/or managing junior developers and conducting code reviews.
• Experience working in a high-paced, growth-oriented business.
• Ability to balance coding standards with meeting deadlines.
• A proactive, 'get it done' mentality and comfort working under tight deadlines.
• Passion and drive to grow a business, not just work a 9-5.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in the E-commerce industry.
• Familiarity with launching services in new markets/countries.
