Job summary

A leading recruitment agency seeks a Senior Software Developer to build digital services that meet user needs in Nottingham or Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have strong PHP and TypeScript skills, experience with Agile teams, and the ability to mentor junior developers. This full-time position offers a hybrid working arrangement and benefits including a 30% pension contribution and 25 days annual leave.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and maintaining complex, scalable systems.
• Hands-on expertise with Zend, and/or Laravel.
• Strong command of MySQL, including query optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining bespoke large applications using PHP and TypeScript.
• Developing user-focused digital services.
• Collaborating in Agile teams (Scrum).

Skills

Enterprise-Level PHP Development

Hands-on expertise with Zend and/or Laravel

Strong command of MySQL

Experience designing and integrating with RESTful APIs

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Solid Git workflow knowledge
