Senior Pharmacy Technician – Medicines Procurement and Homecare

The post holder will: Manage and develop a team of procurement officers and pharmacy support workers that provide the pharmacy procurement and distribution service and supervise the day-to-day operational running of the service. Manage team rosters and re-organise rotas for service provision when problems occur to ensure the effective continuation of the service. Review shift patterns (including flexible working requests) and forward plan services for staff within the team. Support the Pharmacy Operations Support Services Manager in ensuring services meet the standards required for our MHRA Wholesale Dealers Authorisation. Ensure appropriate training is provided for all staff involved in the procurement and distribution of medicines and a culture of learning is embedded within the service. Act as a role model, demonstrating and promoting the standards expected and creating energy and enthusiasm for service improvement. Ensure that all staff within the service understands their roles, the standards of performance expected, and their objectives by regularly reviewing performance and objectives via individual reviews.
