Job summary

A national healthcare provider is seeking a registered pharmacy technician to support their medicines management team. The ideal candidate must have GPhC registration, extensive experience in pharmacy services, and strong communication skills. Knowledge of IT pharmacy applications is desirable. This position requires compliance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a background check.

Qualification

Essential criteria

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain as a practicing pharmacy technician
  • NVQ City and Guilds level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent to enable registration with GPhC)
  • Accuracy checking qualification

Desirable criteria

  • IT pharmacy application system knowledge and experience (preferably Ascribe, Excel, Microsoft Office)
  • Previous experience of working with a medicines management team

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Extensive experience as a registered pharmacy technician
  • Accuracy in dispensing process and use of computer software
  • Ability to Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and members of the public

Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge and/or understanding of the medicines management service
  • Experience in a supervisory and/or leadership role

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
