Job Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinating pharmaceutical aspects of clinical trials prepared in the aseptic unit.
  • Ensuring the provision of a quality pharmaceutical dispensing service to patients of the Trust regarding clinical trials and aseptic services.
  • Maintaining and developing aseptic and clinical trial services to ensure smooth trial operations.
  • Training others on sponsor-specific procedures for aseptic preparation of IMP.
  • Responding to queries from Sponsors, Research Teams, R&I, and PIs, and escalating or resolving issues as necessary.
  • Reviewing protocols and study documentation.
  • Managing and prioritising own workload.
  • Maintaining GCP, professional registration, and other mandatory training.
  • Dispensing and ACT clinical trial prescriptions.
Candidate Profile

We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and self-motivated individual to support our expanding portfolio of clinical trials. This collaborative role links Pharmacy Clinical Trials and Aseptic services, facilitating the delivery of clinical trials, especially those with IMP prepared within the aseptic unit. Experience in clinical trials or aseptics is preferable, but support is available from an experienced Pharmacy Clinical Trials team and Aseptic Team. The role is positioned at band 4-5 or starting band 5, depending on previous relevant experience. This is an exciting time to be involved in clinical trials, given the development of advanced therapeutic medicines.
