Job description

About the role

Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking to take the next step in your career in a beautiful island setting?

Join us as a Senior Pharmacy Technician – Aseptics and play a leading role in the delivery and ongoing improvement of our Aseptic Unit at Noble's Hospital on the Isle of Man. Working alongside the Specialist Pharmacist, you'll help provide a safe, efficient and high-quality aseptic preparation service that supports cancer treatments and other specialist therapies across Manx Care.

This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for a specialist service, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Aseptic Unit while supporting a dedicated team of Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Assistants and support staff. You'll be instrumental in ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), maintaining the Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS) and driving continuous improvement to ensure the highest standards of safety and service delivery.

Working closely with oncology, nursing and multidisciplinary teams, you'll coordinate the production and supply of aseptically prepared medicines, helping to ensure patients receive their treatments safely, efficiently and on time. You'll lead quality audits, develop and review Standard Operating Procedures, manage training and competency programmes, and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of both the Aseptic Unit and wider Pharmacy Service.

Whether you're already working within aseptics or are an experienced hospital Pharmacy Technician with previous aseptic services experience, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to patient care while strengthening your leadership and management skills. You'll bring significant hospital pharmacy experience, strong leadership and communication skills, a sound understanding of GMP and quality assurance principles, and a passion for developing people, improving services and delivering safe, effective patient care.

If you're ready to make an impact within a vital specialist service, we'd love to hear from you.
