Circle Health Group is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician for Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor. This 30-hour per week, permanent role offers up to £33,000 FTE per year, depending on experience, training and qualifications.

The hospital-based position involves providing technical support across inpatient, outpatient and theatre areas, supervising staff and managing stock control to ensure continuous medication availability.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
• Significant experience in a hospital or healthcare pharmacy setting.
• Strong knowledge of medicines management, stock control, and technical pharmacy services.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of technical support in preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medicines across inpatient, outpatient and theatre areas.
• Support ward-based services such as stock top-ups, medicines reconciliation, and discharge preparation.
• Oversee daily work of pharmacy technicians, assistants and trainees, supporting task allocation and workflow management.
• Act as a role model and first point of contact for technical queries and day-to-day problem solving.
• Lead on stock control, ordering and inventory systems to ensure continuous availability of medications.
• Monitor expiry dates, manage medicine shortages and ensure appropriate stock rotation.

The Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor is part of Circle Health Group , Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy department.

This is a part time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:
