Job summary

NHS Forth Valley is seeking highly motivated pharmacy support workers to join our cancer pharmacy team. You will work mainly in dispensing and aseptic areas and gain experience in pharmacy stores, outpatient and ward settings.

You will be flexible, well-organised, and able to work in a busy environment with a positive, can-do attitude. You should have an NVQ2 in pharmacy services or be working towards it, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 in pharmacy services or working towards it.
• Previous pharmacy experience essential.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through the dispensary and the aseptic unit, supporting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Dispense chemotherapy and medicines for side effect management.
• Manage stock control and coordinate medicines delivery.
• Environmental monitoring, assembly and transfer of products for aseptic manufacture, and related administrative tasks.
