Qualifications

• Experience in pharmacy reception or front-of-house duties.
• Ability to resolve patient queries with tact and professionalism.
• Familiarity with prescription processes and patient demographics.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for the dispensary service with patients and staff.
• Receive prescriptions and requests, resolve queries, escalate complex issues.
• Ensure prescriptions have complete demographic details and allergy status where required.
• Assist patients with exemption declarations and unpaid forms when needed.
• Support patients using the payment kiosk and handle complex queries.
• Check availability of outpatient medicines in the stock system and advise ordering.
• Direct patients to the community pharmacy for FP10 prescriptions when appropriate.
• Book prescriptions onto the Prescription Tracking System (PTS) promptly and flag delays.
• Prioritise workloads and escalate delays to senior staff as required.
• Provide induction and training to volunteers at the dispensary reception.
