Job summary

CNTW NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy senior leadership team. You will lead a team across Dispensary, Stores and Procurement, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective medicines supply for CNTW wards, clinics and services.

The role involves governance, incident investigation and developing KPIs for medicines management, with responsibilities for training, recruitment and workforce planning within the Dispensary and Medicines Systems teams.

Qualifications

Registration as a Pharmacy Technician and current practice status.
Experience leading pharmacy teams within NHS or similar settings.
Knowledge of medicines procurement, storage and supply processes.
Understanding of medicines legislation and governance requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Pharmacy Technicians and support staff to ensure safe, cost-effective medicines supply.
Provide leadership within the Pharmacy department and report on operational performance.
Oversee procurement, stores and dispensary activities and drive service improvements.
Ensure SOPs are developed, implemented and maintained.
Investigate medicines incidents and support governance processes.
