Job summary
Bupa is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join the Stores and Distribution team at Cromwell Hospital in London. You will support procurement, maintain stock levels, coordinate deliveries and ensure smooth distribution of medicines and supplies across multiple hospital sites.

Qualifications
- BTEC Level 2 Pharmacy Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a pharmacy purchasing or procurement environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good IT and database skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
- Proactive, flexible and customer-focused approach to work.
- Desirable experience using Ascribe or similar pharmacy systems.
- Acute hospital pharmacy experience.
- Data analysis and reporting skills.
- Experience contributing to audits, quality improvement or service development projects.
- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience.
Responsibilities
- Support pharmacy procurement activities and process purchase orders accurately.
- Manage stock levels and inventory across pharmacy stores and satellite locations.
- Coordinate deliveries, goods receipt and the distribution of medicines and consumables.
- Monitor back orders, medicine shortages and supply disruptions.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
- Support service improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.
- Provide guidance and support to Pharmacy Assistants and new team members.
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, SOPs and hospital standards.

As a Senior Pharmacy Assistant, you will be a key member of the Pharmacy Procurement, Stores and Distribution Team, supporting the day-to-day operation of pharmacy stores and distribution services. You will work closely with suppliers, pharmacy colleagues and clinical teams to ensure stock availability, efficient purchasing processes and excellent customer service across multiple hospital locations.
