Overview

We are recruiting for a Senior Pharmacy Assistant - Stores and Distributionwho shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best Peopleand has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The post holder works with colleagues to provide a comprehensive, high quality and cost-effective pharmaceutical service Medway Maritime hospital and partner organisations via service level agreements, adhering to policies and procedures, and delivering services in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise work of pharmacy assistants and assist with prioritising workflow.
  • Train and develop other staff.
  • Act as a role model for other pharmacy assistants.
  • To work as a link between the goods in (stores) department and main distribution area ensuring the safe and efficient management of the Trust's pharmaceutical stock.
  • The postholder will be a vital part of the team supporting patient care by ensuring medicines are handled, stored, and distributed in compliance with strict legal and regulatory standards. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality service are critical.
Qualifications
  • The successful applicant(s) will be required to have a Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy services.
