Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person to work in our busy Pharmacy Production Unit. You will be working as part of a team of pharmacists, technicians and assistants preparing sterile medicines, chemotherapy and antibiotic injections.

Main duties of the job

You must be reliable, hardworking and able to work to high standards of accuracy and precision. You will be expected to assist with stock control and be confident using a computer. Good communication skills, manual dexterity, and a pass (grade A-C/9-4 in GCSE or equivalent) in English, Mathematics, and a Science subject, are essential.

There will be a commitment to regular Sunday and bank holiday working on a rota basis.

Previous experience is preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided.

  • GCSE pass (A-C) in English, Mathematics and a Science subject
  • Understands the issues in handling hazardous materials

  • Demonstrated understanding of the principle of GMP and QA in a manufacturing environment
