NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to over 1.15 million people, expanding to 2.2 million with regional and national services.
We have one full-time permanent position (37 hours/week) and one part-time permanent position (22.2 hours/week), with a Monday to Friday shift pattern. Salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.
Glasgow City HSCP (North-West Locality): This role involves working with GPs and primary care teams to enhance medicines management and patient care. Responsibilities include delivering pharmacotherapy services, supporting patients with medicines, and developing a clinical caseload aligned with Achieving Excellence strategy. Applicants should be qualified independent prescribers or willing to qualify. The role involves working within NHS GGC primary care pharmacy teams to improve prescribing quality and cost-effectiveness, collaborating with GPs, practice staff, pharmacists, care home staff, and other healthcare professionals. The position requires clinical knowledge, IT skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently and in teams. Travel between GP practices and care homes is required. Experience with primary care teams and GP systems is advantageous. PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check is necessary.
