An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced pharmacist to participate in the provision of high quality pharmaceutical services to the surgical specialties at University Hospital Crosshouse in NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

This post shall have a focus on delivering a highly specialised clinical pharmacy service to the pre-operative assessment clinics in addition to working within the Intensive Care Unit and associated surgical wards within University Hospital Crosshouse. This post involves working closely with the MDT and developing the clinical pharmacy service within these areas to fully utilise the skills and expertise of the pharmacy team.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran benefits from automated dispensing and electronic prescribing (HEPMA and CEPAS). The ideal candidate shall possess a desire to drive forward and actively contribute to the transformation of Clinical Pharmacy Services within Ayrshire & Arran. They will also possess the relevant experience, excellent communication & interpersonal skills and work excellently as part of the dynamic multidisciplinary team. We support the development of our staff and applicants not currently holding a practice prescribing certificate will be supported to complete this.

You will participate in weekend, public holiday and extended hours rotas as required. The post holder shall have a base site of UHC for the purposes of public holiday and weekend working. In accordance with AFC terms and conditions you may be required to work over 7 days and or an extended working day.
