Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a driven Senior Pharmacist, Medicines Effectiveness at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The post is a permanent 0.8 WTE within the Medicines Support Service, offering a chance to lead strategic work on safe, effective and efficient use of medicines across acute and associated services.

You will work with senior pharmacists, medical and nursing staff to maximise medicines resource, with flexible working and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent clinical knowledge and ability to work with complex data.
• Confident communication and negotiating skills, resilience and autonomous working.
• Applicants from all backgrounds in pharmacy will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Medicines Sustainability and Value program across NHSGGC Acute Services.
• Lead on project work to improve medicines cost awareness.
• Collaborate with clinical experts to deliver medicines planning and horizon scanning.
• Author guidance on safe and effective prescribing with stakeholders.
• Support education and training delivery across Medicines Support Service.
