Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a driven Senior Pharmacist, Medicines Effectiveness to lead a dynamic Medicines Support Service. The role is permanent at 0.8 WTE and based in Glasgow, with flexible working arrangements.

You will provide clinical leadership to maximise safe, effective and efficient use of medicines, work with senior colleagues and support education and training across MSS. Prior experience is not required for development.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to support Medicines Sustainability and Value program
• Lead on projects to improve medicines cost awareness
• Collaborate with clinical experts on medicines planning (e.g., horizon scanning)
• Author guidance on safe and effective prescribing
• Support education and training delivery across Medicines Support Service (MSS)
• Maintain a patient-facing clinical pharmacy commitment
