Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pharmacist - Education and Training based at University Hospital Crosshouse and University Hospital Ayr. This is a fixed-term maternity cover post for 9 months.
What you will do:
This role involves developing people within our pharmacy education and training team, providing specialist pharmacy and medical education within NHS Ayrshire & Arran across hospitals and primary care.
The post is equally split between education and training, and providing a clinical pharmacy service to designated medical wards, including high care areas at University Hospital Crosshouse.
A key focus is coordinating experiential learning for undergraduate pharmacy students and supporting training for student pharmacists and early career pharmacists.
You will also support education for junior doctors and undergraduate medical students, including inter-professional training through our prescribing education programme.
You will liaise with the education & training pharmacist within primary care, other education and training pharmacists in Scotland, NES, and the Schools of Pharmacy at the University of Strathclyde and Robert Gordon University.

Hours:
37 hours per week. You will participate in weekend, late night, public holiday, and on-call rotas as required. You may be required to work over 7 days or extended hours in accordance with AFC terms and conditions.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A car licence/car ownership is essential.
