NHS Forth Valley Pharmacy Services is inviting a pharmacist to join on a 12-month secondment/fixed-term basis, delivering the COVID Ultra High Risk Pathway and supporting broader acute clinical pharmacy services.

The role requires independent prescribing (or progression toward it), strong leadership, and experience in advanced clinical pharmacy practice to enhance patient safety and service development.

Fixed Term or Secondment Opportunity for 12 months to cover substantive post holders maternity leave

*Secondment Opportunity – Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. The secondment request form and the associated secondment policy can be found on the HR/Recruitment intranet pages and must be completed and signed by the substantive line manager. An exciting opportunity for a 12-month secondment/fixed-term post has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join NHS Forth Valley Pharmacy Services in a unique senior role spanning the COVID Ultra High Risk Pathway and wider Acute Clinical Pharmacy Services.

The post holder will provide cover for the pharmacist-led COVID Ultra High Risk Pathway, delivering specialist clinical assessment, prescribing and treatment advice for high-risk patients. Alongside this, the post holder will support wider acute clinical pharmacy services and medicines governance initiatives, contributing to service delivery, quality improvement and patient safety across NHS Forth Valley.

Key Responsibilities
