Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Accountable Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team. We provide high quality support to our patients and are looking for a motivated, flexible and forward thinking Pharmacist.

This role includes taking part in the weekend rota.

Main duties of the job

The post will involve working closely with the aseptic unit Lead Pharmacy Technician on delivering an effective and cost-efficient oncology service to patients and staff at Somerset Foundation Trust. The day-to-day management of the pharmacy aseptic unit will be the responsibility of the Lead Aseptic services Technician. The post holder will be working alongside other Deputy Accountable Pharmacists responsible for working closely with the Lead Technician to ensure that the correct level of pharmacist support for all aspects of cancer service delivery is provided.

  • Pharmacy degree and Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Post-graduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent
  • Undertaken relevant parts of the PTQA course
