Job summary

King's College London in London is seeking a Senior PGR Manager to lead the PGR Support team and drive enhancements to our postgraduate research offerings. You will manage budgets, UKRI allocations, and Doctoral School activities, ensuring compliance and robust reporting.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong communication, and proven leadership. It is a full-time post (35 hours/week) with an indefinite contract and London weighting.

Qualifications

• Extensive postgraduate research administration experience in a university.
• Excellent IT skills with MS Office, SharePoint, Power BI, and student management systems.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication across all levels.
• Experience in direct line management or leading a team.
• Proven budget management and analytical abilities.
• Strategic thinking with initiative to improve processes.
• Excellent organisational and time management, able to handle varied requests and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NMES PGR Support team and drive improvements.
• Develop and implement new PGR initiatives aligned with faculty strategy.
• Manage the NMES studentship budget and UKRI allocations.
• Oversee NMES Doctoral School activities and reporting tools.
• Represent the Faculty on College-wide PGR boards and committees.
• Ensure compliance with the Research Concordat and maintain records.
