Job summary

CRUK Scotland Institute in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Scientific Officer for maternity cover on a fixed-term contract. You will support the PET/MRI imaging team, contribute to preclinical imaging projects, and interact with researchers across the Institute.

A PhD is desirable but not essential, with training provided. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with mouse cancer models, strong organisational skills, and a collaborative mindset to drive translational cancer imaging

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mouse models of cancer.
• PhD and/or experience in preclinical imaging (PET/MRI) desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide imaging experiment support to the PET/MRI team and the Institute.
• Support multimodal preclinical imaging studies from protocol design to data analysis.
• Assist ex vivo validation in cancer mouse models and stay abreast of imaging advances.
