Job summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Birmingham is seeking a Senior MRI Radiographer (Band 6) for a 6-month fixed-term maternity cover. The role focuses on MRI imaging and patient care within a busy imaging department.

You will work across Siemens Vida Fit 3T and Siemens Sola 1.5T scanners, supervise radiographic staff, and participate in on-call duties. NHS experience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma of the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Radiography is required.
• Current HCPC Registration is required.
• Experience in MRI and NHS environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MRI imaging to agreed standards and protocols.
• Be responsible for controlling access within the MRI department.
• Supervise Radiographic Assistants to maximise throughput and maintain image quality.
• Participate in MRI Spinal On-Call rota and extended day/weekend duties.
