Joining our Security Liaison team as Senior Personnel Security Manager, you'll lead and oversee the delivery of personnel security services across multiple Royal residences, managing specialist teams responsible for vetting, screening and access control, you'll ensure we maintain the highest standards of security.
As subject matter expert, you'll advise senior stakeholders on various aspects relating to security management and be crucial support for the busy daily operations of working royal residencies., + Lead and develop the Personnel Security, Screening and Pass Office teams, ensuring high standards of service and a collaborative working environment.
+ Oversee all personnel security processes - from BPSS to national security vetting (CTC, SC, DV) - ensuring timely, accurate and compliant clearances for all Royal Household staff and contractors.
+ Identify potential personnel security risks, as well as provide advice when needed on risks, policies and casework.
+ Maintain compliance with GDPR and national security standards through robust quality assurance and effective system management.
+ Build and maintain key partnerships across government and law enforcement, including Cabinet Office, MOD and Home Office.
+ Support major Royal events and operational planning, contributing security input to protect staff and assets.
+ Lead recruitment, development and performance management of your teams, driving continuous improvement.
+ Deputise for senior leadership, contributing to security strategy, governance and operational delivery.
You'll bring experience in personnel security management, ideally with knowledge of HMG National Security Vetting standards. With NPSA (formerly CPNI) training, you'll have a thorough understanding of national vetting policy and associated risks. As a proven people leader, you'll know how to motivate and manage multi-disciplinary teams, guiding others effectively when priorities and pace change during busy times.
A skilled communicator, you'll build trusted relationships and handle sensitive matters with discretion and confidence. Experienced in managing vetting cases, appeals and aftercare, you'll understand security clearance processes from BPSS through to DV. With sound knowledge of data protection and national security legislation, you'll apply policy to practice effectively. Professional, resilient and proactive, you'll use sound judgement to deliver results independently. A qualification in ID verification would be an advantage.
You'll already hold, or be willing to obtain, SC level security clearance.
