Progeny is seeking a Tax Manager to lead high-quality personal tax compliance for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients. The role focuses on reviewing personal tax returns, meeting deadlines, and liaising with HMRC, with hybrid working across Leeds, Worthing or Exeter.

The ideal candidate will hold CTA and ATT qualifications (or be part-qualified) with at least 5 years in personal tax, strong technical knowledge, and proven ability to manage client relationships while coaching junior staff.

Qualifications

• CTA or ATT qualification (or part-qualified) with 5+ years’ experience in personal tax.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance, including preparing and reviewing tax returns.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term trusted relationships.
• Up-to-date understanding of tax legislation, Budget changes and compliance requirements.
• Highly organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coach junior team members.

Responsabilités

• Ensure personal tax compliance obligations are met within deadlines across your portfolio.
• Review and deliver high-quality personal tax returns for clients.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and respond to enquiries.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify additional advisory opportunities.
• Support senior management and junior colleagues through coaching and guidance.
• Monitor time and profitability across the client portfolio and ensure timely invoicing.
