Job summary

Clark Wood - Accountancy Practice & Tax Recruitment is assisting a Maidstone-based independent practice to recruit a Personal Tax Senior. The role involves managing a diverse portfolio of private clients and advising on personal tax planning, CGT and IHT issues, with a friendly, supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong UK personal tax knowledge, excellent communication skills and ATT qualifications (or equivalents). Opportunity for progression within a well-established firm.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of UK personal tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stay organised.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients from onboarding through to completion
• Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns
• Advising clients on personal tax planning opportunities, including capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters
• Handling HMRC correspondence and enquiries
• Monitoring deadlines and ensuring all compliance work is completed accurately and on time
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting junior team members where appropriate
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to clients
